ABOUT US
The Tacoma Light Trail is a free walkable/driveable Trail of light art in downtown Tacoma. A Sound Trail pairs music and poetry with each light location via QR code. Live performances and a Lighted Bike Ride bring the Trail to life.
WE ACKNOWLEDGE
We in downtown Tacoma acknowledge that we are standing on traditional lands of the Puyallup tribe, who live here and speak the Twulshootseed language.
MISSION
The Tacoma Light Trail uses light art to bring light to dark times, to lift up diverse voices and bring the community together through things we all share – truth, hope, justice, peace – symbolized by light.
JEDI POLICY
The Tacoma Light Trail is deeply committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. We are committed to embracing and adopting an anti-racism approach by actively prioritizing the inclusion and amplification of BIPOC voices in our programming, leadership, and community partnerships, while working to dismantle systemic barriers within the arts. The Tacoma Light Trail is committed to justice, equity, diversity and inclusion, both as an organization that serves its community and as a support for artists and businesses. We work toward these goals and welcome feedback.
